For CEOs, owners and board directors

Small tasks can quietly eat 8 hours of your week. That's a day.

Routine enquiries. Meeting notes. Follow-ups. Reading reports. Drafting updates. None of it is hard. All of it adds up.

The Sharp Leader is a 6-lesson online course that shows you how to hand that work to AI, safely, using the tools you already have.

  • Find where your hours go in a 15-minute audit, then fix the biggest drain first
  • Turn reports, board papers and meetings into one-page briefs and clear minutes
  • Bring AI into your organisation with a simple policy your board will understand

You don't need to be technical. You need to be busy.

Maybe you've tried ChatGPT or Copilot a few times. You asked it a question, got an answer that was fine, and went back to doing things the old way.

That's normal. Many leaders use AI like a search engine. This course shows you how to use it like a capable chief of staff: you brief it, it drafts, you review and decide.

You don't need to code. You don't need new software. If you can write an email and run a meeting, you can do everything in this course.

And you don't need to be a "tech person" to lead AI well. You need to know where it saves time, where the risks are, and what to ask your team. That's what you'll learn.

Who's teaching

Hi, I'm David Richardson.

I started my career as a clinical nurse in an Emergency Department. That's where I learned how people make decisions under pressure, and how much time gets lost to paperwork that doesn't help anyone.

I went on to become Director of IT at Queensland Health, working on the systems that clinicians and managers rely on every day. Now I run AI Sharp Solutions in Brisbane, helping leaders use AI to get time back and make better decisions, without putting their organisation at risk.

My work sits where people, pressure and technology meet. This course is the practical version of what I teach leaders in person.

The lessons

Six lessons. Start with the basics, then go further.

The Basics (Lessons 1–3)

Get the habits right and find your hours.

1

Lesson 1: Delegate, Don't Google

Many leaders ask AI questions. The ones who save real time give it jobs. This lesson changes how you think about AI, from a search box to a capable assistant you brief and review. You'll learn the one briefing formula you'll use in every lesson after this.

What's in it
  • Why small tasks can add up to about 8 hours a week, and where those hours go
  • The four ways of working: you do it, AI helps, AI drafts, AI runs it
  • How to decide which mode fits each task
  • The briefing formula: how to brief AI the way you'd brief a good chief of staff
  • Copy-paste prompts to try on your own work straight away
2

Lesson 2: Find Your Eight Hours

You can't fix what you haven't measured. In 15 minutes you'll look back over two weeks and see exactly where your time goes. You'll finish with your top three time drains and a clear first target.

What's in it
  • The 15-minute audit: look back two weeks, list repeat tasks, time and count them
  • The three tests: is it repetitive, time-consuming or error-prone?
  • Why the best first target fits two or three of those tests
  • How to circle your top three: most hours, least effort to fix
  • The AI Time-Back Audit worksheet, ready to fill in
3

Lesson 3: Build Your Right Hand

Set up an AI assistant that knows your voice, your business and your priorities, so you stop explaining yourself every time. You'll also set the safety rules once, so you can use it with confidence.

What's in it
  • Setting up your assistant with your role, your organisation and how you write
  • Saving your priorities so every answer starts from what matters to you
  • Getting drafts that sound like you, not like a robot
  • Safety basics: remove names, check your training settings, keep a person reviewing anything that goes out
  • Setup steps for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot

And Beyond (Lessons 4–6)

Decide better, remember more, and lead AI across your organisation.

4

Lesson 4: Decide on One Page

Leaders read too much and decide too slowly. This lesson turns long reports, board papers and meetings into short, clear briefs. Then it uses AI to stress-test your thinking before you commit.

What's in it
  • Turning reports and board papers into one-page briefs
  • Turning meeting recordings into minutes with decisions, owners and dates
  • Writing a clear decision memo in a fraction of the time
  • The pre-mortem: having AI argue against your decision before you make it
  • Prompts that work with your existing Zoom, Teams or Meet transcripts
5

Lesson 5: Ask Your Own Notes

You've made hundreds of decisions. Can you find the reasoning behind last year's? This lesson builds a simple second brain from the notes tool you already use, then lets you ask it questions and get answers with sources.

What's in it
  • The four steps: Capture, Organise, Distil, Express
  • Setting it up in OneNote, Google Docs or Notion
  • What to capture and what to leave out
  • Asking questions like "What did we decide about supplier risk last year?"
  • Getting answers that point back to the original notes, so you can check them
6

Lesson 6: Lead the Rollout

Your board will ask about AI. Your staff are very likely already using it, with or without a policy. This lesson gives you a calm, practical plan for both, written for CEOs and directors.

What's in it
  • The four board questions: opportunity, risk and privacy, capability, governance
  • A one-page AI use policy you can adapt for your organisation
  • Getting staff on board without fear or hype
  • One quick win first, then expand
  • Measuring the return so you can show what's working
Works with the AI you already have

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot. Your choice.

ChatGPTClaudeGeminiCopilot

Every lesson works in all four. Each one comes with a "Do this in your tool" card that shows the setup steps where they differ.

Only allowed Copilot at work? You're not alone. Many corporate, healthcare and not-for-profit organisations only approve Microsoft Copilot. This course is built for that. Every prompt and every lesson works in Copilot, so you can use what you learn on your real work, inside the rules your organisation already has.

What you'll need

  • One AI assistant. A free plan is fine for lessons 1–2. A paid plan (about A$30 a month) is recommended for lessons 3–5.
  • Your existing email, calendar and documents (Microsoft 365 or Google)
  • Your existing meeting transcription (Zoom, Teams or Meet)
  • A place for notes (OneNote, Google Docs or Notion)

No new software to buy or learn.

Here's a simple way to think about it. Small tasks can quietly add up to about 8 hours a week. That's roughly a day. If you got even part of that day back each week, you could judge for yourself whether the course paid for itself. And the time you get back goes to the work only you can do: leading, deciding, and thinking ahead.

Results depend on your role and how you apply the course. What it gives you is the method, the prompts and the plan.

FAQ

Questions leaders ask

Is payment secure?

Yes. Checkout is handled by Stripe, a widely used payment platform. Your card details are encrypted and sent straight to Stripe. AI Sharp never sees or stores them. You'll get an emailed receipt, and you're covered by the 30-day money-back guarantee.

How long do I have access?

You keep lifetime access, including future updates. All 6 lessons are open from the day you join.

How long does it take to finish?

Each lesson has 3–4 short videos (5–12 minutes each), notes and a worksheet. Allow about 1.5 to 2 hours per lesson, including the worksheet. Some leaders do it over a weekend. Others do one lesson a week.

Do I need to pay for any AI tools?

Not to start. Free plans of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot are fine for lessons 1 and 2. For lessons 3 to 5, a paid plan (about A$30 a month) is recommended. If your workplace already provides Copilot, you can use that.

I'm not very tech-savvy. Is this for me?

Yes. It's written for leaders, not IT people. There's no coding and no new software. If you can write an email and run a meeting, you can do this course.

Is it safe to use AI with confidential information?

The course teaches safe habits from Lesson 3 onwards: remove names and identifying details, check your assistant's training settings, and keep a person reviewing anything that goes out. Lesson 6 helps you set a one-page AI use policy. Always follow your own organisation's policies too. The course is practical guidance, not legal advice.

Is the content up to date?

AI tools change often. The course teaches methods that hold up when the buttons move: how to brief, what to delegate, and how to stay safe. The course was last updated in October 2026, and future updates are included at no extra cost.

My workplace only lets me use Copilot. Will this work?

Yes. Every lesson and prompt works in Microsoft Copilot, and each lesson has a "Do this in your tool" card with Copilot steps.

What if I get stuck?

Email info@aisharp.com.au and I'll help. You'll hear back within 2 business days.

Can my leadership team do it too?

Yes, and it works well when a team goes through it together, especially Lesson 6. For now, email info@aisharp.com.au for team pricing.
